The Honda Motor Co., Ltd. was established by Soichiro Honda and Takeo Fujisawa in 1948. Since then it has become a multinational conglomerate for cars motorcycles and other power equipment. Their first original product was the "Dream" D-type motorcycle, in 1949. Honda started their journey in India in 1995 by establishing Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL). Their manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan has been working nonstop since 2008, which is spread across 450 acres with an annual production capacity of 180,000 units.
